Sub Committees

As per the decisions made in the 13th Working Committee held on the 29th November, 2009 at the Center for Microfinance, it was decided that there would only be one Sub-Committee for the 2nd Microfinance Summit Nepal, 2010.

For the Summit, Resource Papers on several topics related to Microfinance will be prepared, of which some will be presented in the Plenary sessions and others in the Breakaway sessions. All respective presenters must submit their resource papers to the Center for Microfinance, the secretariat of the Summit.

The Resource Paper Sub-Committee for the 2nd Microfinance Summit Nepal, 2010. consists of scholars and practitioners in the microfinance field, who will provide constructive feedback and suggestions aimed at improving the papers. The Sub-Committee will hold several meetings before the commencement of the Summit as deemed necessary.

• Dr. Madan Dahal, Professor of Economics at Tribhuvan University
• Narahari Dhakal, Project Coordinator of the Rural Finance Sector Development Cluster 
• Programme at Economic Policy Analysis Network (EPN)
• Navaraj Simkhada, Microfinance and Banking Operations Specialist at Asian Development
• Bihari Krishna Shrestha, an Independent Expert
• Jalan Sharma, Chief Executive Officer of Sana Kisan Bikas Bank Limited
• Sushila Gautam, Center for Microfinance
